EPRO Sustainability - Best Recycled Plastic Product Award 2019

EPRO Sustainability - Best Recycled Plastic Product Award 2019

Mappy Italia SpA is proud to announce its shortlisting for the EPRO Sustainability - Best Recycled Plastic Product Award 2019.

Mappy Italia SpA firmly believes in the green aspect of the quality of its products and for this reason we created a composite panel for the renovation and refurbishment of existing buildings located in extremely noisy areas (e.g. nearby airports) in order to guarantee an adequate increase in the acoustic, thermal and hygrometric properties.

The idea behind this project was to reduce the environmental impact, increase the living quality in terms of acoustic insulation and energy efficiency.

The final composite material is 100% recyclable and obtained from recycled PET plastic bottles and other plastic. But it is also a design element since any panel perfectly combines the aesthetic style and decorative effect with the highest technical performances.

This award enables the industry to further demonstrate their commitment and work in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility, and for the consumer to more fully understand the scope of their environmentally friendly actions.

Five companies have been shortlisted for the Sustainability award which recognises the progression in the applications of recycled plastics, and presents a real opportunity for the industry to further demonstrate their commitment to the environment and saving resources through use of recycled materials.

The 2019 winners will be presented at Identiplast 2019 on 7th March in London, a two-day conference that brings producers, converters and recyclers from across the plastics supply chain together with policy makers, public authorities and waste management bodies, as well as key figures from academia.

We would like to thank once again our customers and suppliers for believing in our values: commitment to a sustainable production, R&D and “Made in Italy”.
