PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Schools are essential environments for the growth and development of students and require optimal conditions to promote learning. However, the acoustic aspect is often overlooked, despite the fact that noise can have a negative impact on the concentration, well-being and performance of students and teachers, causing mental and physical fatigue.
To address these needs, Mappy Italia has supplied Mappyfiber Flat sound-absorbing panels, made from pure regenerated fibre in white and melange finishes, to various schools in the Czech Republic. The panels, available in various sizes and shapes such as squares and rectangles, have been installed on both walls and ceilings, ensuring effective control of reverberation in teaching environments.
Mappyfiber Flat panels stand out for their technical and sustainability features, which make them particularly suitable for school environments. The fibres used are safe for health, do not degrade over time and maintain their acoustic performance. Furthermore, they are fully recyclable and are derived from recycled plastic bottles, contributing to the achievement of credits for environmental certifications such as LEED. The regenerated fibre panels also comply with the strictest European and American regulations regarding emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
From a safety perspective, the panels comply with current regulations for public spaces: in the event of a fire, they do not spread flames and do not release opaque or toxic fumes.
