Tape Italian Taste in Gerenzano (Varese) is an innovative restaurant that blends Asian finger food culture with Italian flavours.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The restaurant suffered from particularly poor acoustics, due to its spacious interior, high ceilings and large windows, which allowed sound to propagate easily. Conversations, laughter and the normal background noise of the dining area were easily amplified, creating an uncomfortable environment and detracting from the overall customer experience.
To create a more relaxed atmosphere and improve the acoustic comfort, Mappy Italia proposed and supplied Mappyfiber Flat Wood Frame sound-absorbing panels, in various sizes and hexagonal and rectangular formats. Furthermore, spotlights were integrated into some of the panels, transforming them into both lighting and acoustic elements.
The panels were suspended from the ceiling, helping not only to reduce reverberation and perceived noise but also to enhance the aesthetics of the spaces through an elegant interplay of volumes and movement.
THE RESULT: a comfortable environment, both acoustically and aesthetically, where guests can spend pleasant moments in each other’s company, chat and enjoy the experience without being disturbed by background noise.
