PROJECT TYPE
Four venues in the Varese area: a contemporary restaurant with glass walls overlooking greenery, a panoramic lounge bar with a terrace, a traditional trattoria with exposed wood-beam ceilings, and a modern bistro.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In a restaurant, acoustics now matter as much as good food. High ceilings, large glass surfaces and tiled floors reflect sound instead of absorbing it, and reverberation spreads from table to table until even a simple conversation becomes hard work. That’s why more and more venues are addressing acoustic comfort, without giving up the aesthetic identity of the space.
In the Varese area, four restaurants faced this same challenge with the same solution: Mappyfiber Bombato-Curved Cerchio decorative sound-absorbing islands, installed on the ceiling in configurations designed around each space.
The curved shape and colour palette were chosen case by case to dialogue with the style of each space, showing how the same acoustic solution adapts to very different settings, from contemporary to traditional, without ever feeling out of place.
THE RESULT: four quieter dining rooms, four improved experiences of conviviality. The Mappyfiber Bombato Curved panels reduced reverberation and made guests and staff feel more comfortable, while enhancing the aesthetic of each space with a curved, tailor-made design. Proof that, even in small projects, acoustic comfort and elegance can grow together.
