PROJECT OVERVIEW
UniCredit Tower is located in the Porta Nuova district, at the heart of one of the most significant urban regeneration projects in Milan.
Designed by architect César Pelli and Pelli Clarke & Partners, the complex consists of three eco-sustainable towers made of glass and steel and has become an architectural symbol of a modern and dynamic city. With a total height of 230 metres, it is currently the tallest building in Italy.
As the headquarters of the UniCredit banking group, the building features large operational spaces and executive offices that required effective acoustic insulation between environments.
OBJECTIVE OF THE ACOUSTIC INTERVENTION
To ensure high standards of acoustic comfort and privacy within the Tower’s offices, despite the high daily flow of people, by intervening on both horizontal and vertical partitions. The focus was on insulating walls and ceilings to limit noise transmission between adjacent spaces and guarantee optimal wellbeing conditions for both employees and clients.
