Mappysil CR 400 – Construction

MAPPYSIL CR 400 is a soundproofing panel composed of two layers of 100% thermally bonded, regenerated and certified fibre, ensuring the most stringent hygiene requirements, with an interposed high-density flexible elastomeric barrier to increase mass and improve acoustic insulation. The fibre layers are designed to decouple the heavy barrier from the noise source.

Mappysil CR 400 performs a triple function: sound absorption, sound insulation and thermal insulation.

Mappysil CR 400 is also available in a self-adhesive version with water-based acrylic adhesive.

The product is resistant to moisture.

Typical applications

Mappysil CR 400 is ideal for thermal and acoustic insulation of walls and false ceilings using a single panel. It is flexible and can be easily installed inside masonry cavities, within metal frames for dry construction walls (plasterboard, wood, magnesite), and fixed onto false ceilings.

Mappysil CR 400 is an excellent solution for reducing sound transmission between rooms when used vertically or horizontally above ceilings and inside partition walls. The panel also provides effective noise reduction from AHU/FAHU systems above false ceilings.

The application of a thermo-insulating, sound-absorbing and soundproofing panel in a single step reduces installation costs and allows high acoustic insulation performance with reduced thickness. Continue reading...
