MAPPYSIL CR 404 is a high-performance sound-insulating and thermal insulating panel. It has very low flammability and is classified as Class A according to ASTM E 84.
It is a material composed of three layers: a layer of 100% thermally bonded regenerated fibers, a high-density flexible elastomeric barrier to increase mass and improve sound insulation, and a reinforced aluminum facing with glass mesh that provides mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
The regenerated fiber layer is designed to decouple the heavy barrier from the noise source. The application of a protective facing, a sound-insulating barrier, and a decoupler in a single solution reduces installation costs.
Mappysil CR 404 has been tested and is compliant with the most stringent European and American standards regarding VOC emissions.
Mappysil CR 404 is also available in an adhesive version with water-based acrylic glue.
Mappysil CR 404 is resistant to humidity.
