FONOSILENT is an elastomeric barrier in class B s1 d0, filled with mineral compounds in FR (fire-retardant) version. It is a product specifically developed for applications where safety standards require fire reaction performance and low smoke toxicity.
Fonosilent is a damping material ideal as a lead substitute. It is also environmentally friendly and does not contain polluting compounds such as bitumen.
It is also available in an adhesive version with hot melt glue.
Typical applications
FONOSILENT is an acoustic barrier suitable wherever a sound-insulating mass with fire reaction properties is required. It is used to reduce vibrations on metal structures, sheet metal, fiberglass, and plastic laminates.
