NYLONSTIK

NYLONSTIK is a product made of a flexible, waterproof closed-cell cross-linked polyamide (nylon) foam with exceptional temperature resistance.

It is available in a self-adhesive version with a special acrylic adhesive also resistant to high temperatures.

Typical applications

Nylonstik is an elastic material suitable for use as an adhesive gasket where high temperature resistance is required: both foam and adhesive can be used up to 200°C.

Nylonstik is also resistant to UV rays, alcohols, ketones, mineral oils, fuels and hydrocarbons in general. The material is also water-resistant, but slightly hygroscopic. Thanks to these characteristics, it is ideal for insulation in petrochemical plants, painting systems, radiant barriers, boilers, and steam and liquid heating systems.

In cars and industrial vehicles (especially tractors and agricultural machinery), it is used in battery covers, radiators, exhaust pipes and engines.
