MAPPYBAND COMPRESSO is a pre-compressed gasket made of impregnated flexible expanded polyurethane. Mappyband is characterised by a slow expansion from its initial thickness to its nominal thickness. It offers excellent acoustic and thermal insulation performance.
Mappyband is also available in a self-adhesive version with water-based acrylic adhesive.
Typical applications
Mappyband is ideal for sealing gaps of varying sizes, sealing joints between walls and window or door frames, sealing expansion joints, and as a filler for corrugated and profiled sheets in roofing. Mappyband Compresso has a compression capacity of 92% and excellent stability at both low and very high temperatures. Thanks to this characteristic, it is particularly suitable for installation in areas with strong temperature variations, such as desert environments, ensuring resistance to sand infiltration. Please note: full expansion at 20°C takes 2 days, but if the material is stored and/or used at temperatures close to 0°C, complete expansion may take up to 10 days.
