POLISTIK CH/RS is made of a flexible closed-cell chemically cross-linked polyethylene foam (Polistik CH), coated with a polyethylene film (RS Film). The polyethylene RS Film makes the product eco-friendly as it eliminates the need to remove a release liner, thus reducing the environmental impact related to its disposal.
Polistik CH/RS is therefore produced in a self-adhesive version without a protective liner, using a water-based acrylic adhesive.
Typical applications
Polistik CH/RS is a multi-purpose gasket with good thermal and acoustic insulation properties. It adheres perfectly to surfaces, is waterproof, prevents condensation and frost, and reduces heat loss, thus promoting energy savings. Polistik CH/RS is therefore suitable for many applications: preventing vibrations between metal structures (such as drywall studs), insulating water pipes, sealing pipe sections, for air conditioners and boilers, in refrigeration systems, and for HVAC insulation.
