Mappysil CR 201 – Construction

MAPPYSIL CR 201 is a soundproofing, thermo-insulating and anti-condensation panel composed of a high-density flexible elastomeric barrier to increase mass and improve acoustic insulation, coated on one side with a chemically cross-linked expanded polyethylene layer with a scratch-resistant surface, and on the other side with a physically cross-linked expanded polyethylene layer. The protective scratch-resistant film is designed to prevent surface damage and cracking during installation.

Mappysil CR 201 is also available in a self-adhesive version with water-based acrylic adhesive, reducing installation time.

The product is resistant to moisture.

Typical applications

Mappysil CR 201 is a versatile soundproofing material suitable for various acoustic insulation needs in construction. The high-density membrane and reduced thickness make it suitable for acoustic treatments where space is limited and where there may be exposure to water splashes and oils. Mappysil CR 201 is an anti-condensation product used in particular for acoustic and thermal insulation of pipes for ducting and ventilation systems in general and drainage stacks.

Mappysil CR 201 can be used as an impact sound insulation underlay in the presence of wooden floors to achieve a high level of living comfort, and can be used in combination with perimeter strips (standard or bicolor), including in systems with underfloor heating.

It is also suitable for installation on walls in cavities and on ceilings and false ceilings.

The reduced thickness also makes it suitable for the acoustic insulation of shutter boxes.
