Mappysilent – Construction

MAPPYSILENT is an elastomeric material filled with mineral compounds that give it a high specific weight.

It is an ideal anti-vibration material as a substitute for lead; it is also eco-friendly and does not contain polluting compounds such as bitumen. Mappysilent has also demonstrated low VOC emissions.

Mappysilent is also available in a self-adhesive version with hot-melt adhesive, water-based adhesive, and in an FR version (Fonosilent).

Typical applications

Mappysilent is an acoustic barrier suitable wherever a sound-insulating mass is required.

In construction, Mappysilent is particularly used wherever a soundproofing barrier is needed between adjacent spaces where minimal thickness is required. It can be easily combined with drywall panels (plasterboard, wood, magnesite) to improve their acoustic performance and can be applied both on walls and ceilings.

In addition, its low thickness makes Mappysilent suitable for acoustic insulation of pipes, especially drainage pipes, drainage stacks and ducting systems in general, where available space is extremely limited.
