Mappysil CR 404 is a high-performance soundproofing and thermo-insulating panel. It has very low flammability and is classified as Class A according to ASTM E 84.
It is a material composed of three layers: a layer of 100% thermally bonded regenerated fibres, a high-density flexible elastomeric barrier to increase mass and improve acoustic insulation, and a reinforced aluminium finish with glass fibres that provides mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
The regenerated fibre mat is designed to decouple the heavy barrier from the noise source. The application of a protective covering, a soundproofing barrier and a decoupler in a single step reduces installation costs.
Mappysil CR 404 has been tested and complies with the most stringent European and American standards regarding volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions.
Mappysil CR 404 is also available in a self-adhesive version with water-based acrylic adhesive.
Mappysil CR 404 is resistant to moisture.
Typical applications
Mappysil CR 404 is the ideal product for acoustic and thermal insulation of pipes, air conditioning ducts, drainage stacks, heat exchangers, compressors and engines.
The product is also used for acoustic and thermal insulation of walls and false ceilings.
