Polistik/M Underspecial HQ

POLISTIK/M UNDERSPECIAL HQ is an impact sound insulation underlay composed of a layer of expanded polyethylene combined with a high-density regenerated fibre layer – obtained from recycled plastic bottles – to improve thermo-acoustic performance. The polyethylene layer is covered with a protective non-woven fabric (TNT) film to be positioned facing upwards to prevent damage during installation. The product features a lapped edge for a clean joint without unevenness, to be sealed with tape (Mappytape TXT).

The rolls are lapped and supplied with Mappytape TXT, the special adhesive tape for sealing the edges.

Polistik/M Underspecial HQ is also available in an FR version for the Swiss market.

Typical applications

Polistik/M Underspecial HQ is ideal for acoustic and thermal insulation of intermediate floor slabs to achieve a high level of living comfort, in both concrete and wooden floors, used in combination with perimeter strips (standard or bicolor), including in systems with underfloor heating. To improve acoustic performance, two layers of the product can be applied.
